The Champlain Electronic Health (eHealth) Strategic Plan
Speaker:
Glenn Alexander
Chief Information Officer
Champlain Local Health Integration Network
Keynote Summary
Glenn Alexander, the Chief Information Officer for the Champlain
Local Health Integration Network (LHIN), will provide an overview
of the eHealth Strategic Plan for the Champlain region. Mr. Alexander
will review the goals that drive the strategic plan, explore the
various initiatives identified in the plan, and discuss the guidelines
that will be followed in the rollout of these initiatives.
The Champlain eHealth Strategic Plan was developed through an interactive,
consultative approach that involved many parties both inside and
outside the LHIN. Mr. Alexander will provide insight into this process
and will describe how the resulting plan will move the regional
eHealth agenda forward, support improved quality of care, and will
ensure alignment with the LHIN, provincial, and national vision.
This informative presentation will be of interest to:
- Healthcare providers and care givers across the region who
will be users of the new eHealth systems described in the strategic
plan.
- Health Informatics professionals who will be implementing, integrating
with, or supporting these systems.
- Health IT vendors who are interested in doing business in the
region and want to understand the products and services that may
be required over the next 12 to 18 months.
